On
August 17th, 2002 Station 41 EMS was dispatched to 7 West 6th Ave
in the City for a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival pt was found to be
in cardiac arrest and the AED was applied and CPR initiated. When
the patient arrived at Brandywine Hospital a pulse was present and
the patient was breathing on his own. The patient made a fully recovery
and was shortly thereafter discharged from the hospital. Personnel

On
November 29, 2002 Station 41 EMS was dispatched to the Polish American
Club on Strode Ave for a cardiac arrest. 41-20 arrived to find pt
in arrest and CPR was initiated. Once the ambulance arrived, an
AED was placed and utilized. When ALS arrived the patient had a
pulse and breathing was assisted by BVM. Pt was discharged from
the hospital after a brief stay and still frequents the Polish American
Club to this date. Personnel

On
December 17th,2002 a phone call was recieved at Station 41 that
someone in The Little Chef resturant was in cardiac arrest. Patient
was found by arriving units to be in cardiac arrest and CPR and
AED application was initiated. The patient remained in arrest during
most of the transport to the hospital but did respond to treatment
and upon arrival at Brandywine hospital a pulse was present. The
pt was admitted to the ICU and later discharged. He can still be
found from time to time enjoying the food at The Little Chef.
